The Vision
A new-build farmhouse that feels rooted in the land — quiet, honest, and ready for the next generation to grow into.
The Challenge
A young family with a beautiful collection of inherited pieces and nowhere yet to put them — a brand-new house with no patina, on a wide open Hill Country site that needed grounding.
The project
The owners had spent years collecting pieces with no place to land. The brief was a home that felt as if it had always been there — warm, unfussy, and built for a family that lives in every room.
We worked alongside the architect from the foundation up, choosing materials with patina built in: hand-troweled plaster, rift-sawn white oak, and antique European fixtures that anchor the new construction in something older.
